Stallion Service

Silver's breeding fee is $350.  In 2010 there will be a $100 booking fee due when the breeding contract is signed.  The remainder of the breeding fee will be due when the mare is bred; return privileges apply should mare not settle.  While Silverado is in Missouri there will be a $8 per day mare care charge; $10 if mare is accompanied by a foal.  Mares will be kept in a separate pasture and be hand bred.  Mares will not be accepted for breeding without a current Coggins, a clean culture and NO SHOES!  Paperwork will be checked.  Discounts given for multiple mares only.

 Silverado is negative for EVA.

Shipped Semen now available.  Please contact us for information.

For the Oklahoma breeders Silverado will return home at the end of June.  As always there will be no mare care charges for horses left less than 7 days. However, all other breeding requirements will apply.

  • Horse Training

PoJo Ranch does not offer any type of training services.  We do know several trainers we can recommend based on the type of training you need for your horse.  Please contact us if you are looking for a trainer in the Missouri, Northeast Oklahoma or the Northwest Arkansas area.
  • Sweeping Up Cash

I have to display a photo of my favorite riding horse.  One of the things on my bucket list was to campaign a horse for a full season.  I had my ups and downs during this adventure but Sweeper never failed me through it all.  We took an award our 1st year out Grand Champion Novice Horse/Novice Rider  in 2008!  Many thanks to Curlee Stables for mentioning this little girl.  When you sit in the stands at a horse show the riders make it all look effortless.  When you're the rider you learn it's a lot harder than it looks. Although she prefers the trail she does the ring very well--taking a 1st in her second class! When you have double Coin's Hard Cash, Sweepstakes with a touch of Sun's Delight you're really ahead of the game.  Here's a photo of her showing that she's not a "one trick" pony.  Sweeper is currently learning neck reining, some Parelli and collection a la Larry Whitesell.  This mare is that rare "same horse every time" now matter how long it's been since you've ridden her. I may take her back into the ring this year or we may stick to the trails. $10000

With the loss of Heart of Moonlight I will be AI'ing the Sweepster to Heart's Sire--Trace of Moonlight.  We will get a great foal that is not in doubt.  The question is will we get a frame?  Watch for photos in the spring of 2011.

2010 Silverado Foals

My Josie Josie is expected to deliver in early April.

Imagine a Jose, Jose mare crossed on a son of Spotted Alen Again!  This foal should be a winner regardless of whether it hits the show ring or the trail.  I've been thinking of naming it Cerveza!

About Jose, Jose

For those of you not familiar with the TW world we thought we'd add a note here about Josie's sire.  Jose Jose, the 1998 2 YO WGC, rocked the TW world by being syndicated for $1.5 million.  In 2006 he became the number one breeding stallion in the TWHBEA. His foals have racked up more money than any other stallion get in the industry. He remains the top stallion through 2008.  His current breeding fee is $5000 and he is standing at Waterfall Farms in Shelbyville.

You want me to do what?

Surprised by U is Pusher/Coin on top and Generator/Carbon Copy on bottom.  She should also produce an excellent foal.  Expected in May I'm still working on a name for this foal.  If you have a suggestion feel free to e-mail.

COMING IN 2011:

Our former show mare; Sundance Jubilee, will be AI'ed to a cremello, Snow 'N Ice.  Both Snow 'N Ice and Red Woman have the agouti gene as well as both red and black genes.  We know we will get a palomino for sure but are hoping for one of those agouti and black genes to find their way to the foal.  Regardless we know the foal will be good natured and gaited to beat the band since both sire and dam can really hit a lick.

Cash for Coins is being AI'ed to Generator's DR Blue for a roan foal.  Since Penny has thrown both red and black foals it will be interesting to see what color foal we will get out of this cross.  We do know it will be roan!
