  • Horse Training

PoJo Ranch does not offer any type of training services.  We do know several trainers we can recommend based on the type of training you need for your horse.  Please contact us if you are looking for a trainer in the Missouri, Northeast Oklahoma or the Northwest Arkansas area.
  • Sweeping Up Cash

I have to display a photo of my favorite riding horse.  One of the things on my bucket list was to campaign a horse for a full season.  I had my ups and downs during this adventure but Sweeper never failed me through it all.  We took an award our 1st year out Grand Champion Novice Horse/Novice Rider  in 2008!  Many thanks to Curlee Stables for mentioning this little girl.  When you sit in the stands at a horse show the riders make it all look effortless.  When you're the rider you learn it's a lot harder than it looks. Although she prefers the trail she does the ring very well--taking a 1st in her second class! When you have double Coin's Hard Cash, Sweepstakes with a touch of Sun's Delight you're really ahead of the game.  Here's a photo of her showing that she's not a "one trick" pony.  Sweeper is currently learning neck reining, some Parelli and collection a la Larry Whitesell.  This mare is that rare "same horse every time" now matter how long it's been since you've ridden her. I may take her back into the ring this year or we may stick to the trails. NFS

2010 Silverado Foals

Here is what you get when you cross the son of one of the number one Spotted Saddle Horses in the country (Spotted Alen Again) with the daughter of one of the top breeding stallions in the Tennessee Walker world (Jose' Jose').  At one month of age he is starting to round out and fill in.  Very friendly colt who has performed a run-walk, rack and does the occasional roll-back in the field.  Wouldn't he make a top breeding stallion? He will be registered TWHBEA and SSHBEA. DNA tested to be homozygous black and not have the cream gene.  $1500 at weaning in October.

About Jose, Jose

For those of you not familiar with the TW world we thought we'd add a note here about Josie's sire.  Jose Jose, the 1998 2 YO WGC, rocked the TW world by being syndicated for $1.5 million.  In 2006 he became the number one breeding stallion in the TWHBEA. His foals have racked up more money than any other stallion get in the industry. He remains the top stallion through 2008.  His current breeding fee is $3000 and he is standing at Waterfall Farms in Shelbyville.

UPDATE FROM THE BREEDING SHED:

Despite mucho dollars spent Sweeper is not in foal to Trace and Chick Flick is not in foal to Snow 'N Ice.  If wanting it to happen would have made it happen or throwing money at it would have made it happen it would have.  Instead Chick Flick will be bred to Silverado and the Sweepster will be shown and trail ridden this year.

Cash for Coins is being AI'ed to Generator's DR Blue for a roan foal.  Since Penny has thrown both red and black foals it will be interesting to see what color foal we will get out of this cross. Being closely line bred Coin's Hard Cash Penny is the perfect horse for outcrossing.  This should be a great foal when (and if it takes) it arrives. We do know it will be roan!
