2009 Foals

Alen's Silverado exceeded our expectations.  We see a consistency in his foals that we did not see in any of our other stallions.  All are born gaiting with head nod but as an added bonus their conformation is darn near perfect every time.  They are round butted with a laid back shoulder, short backed and have small refined heads with nice foxy ears.  It took us 10 years to get here but we finally made it! I'm glad my husband was able to see these foals before he died.  I will be carrying on the breeding program in a much more limited fashion.  PoJo Ranch will produce two Silverado foals each year.  There will be some out-crossing, i.e., the breedings to Generator's DR Blue and Snow 'N Ice, but Silverado foals will be limited.  You might want to sign up to purchase one as soon as their photos are posted.  Let me know if you want to be notified as soon as they hit the ground.  Purchased foals will lead, load, have 1st shots, be registered and DNA'ed, come with all paperwork necessary to transfer them to your name.   If there is a breeding you would be interested in seeing I'll gladly breed any mare with a non-refundable deposit on the anticipated foal.

Cash for Coins delivered up a nice colt, PoJo's Copper Coin on May 17th.  He is simply stunning!  Every visitor raves about his muscle, looks and people-friendly disposition. He has his dam's head  and is built like all of Silver's foals--absolutely perfect.  Not only does he have perfect conformation he has the head nod and gait to go with it. Copper is shedding off to a deep chestnut color which should be even more stunning with the 4 socks he sports. $1000 registered and DNA'ed. Photos do not do him justice--this is an exceptional fella.

A black and white colt with a pedigree that includes all the great old time Walkers?  Not likely you'd think.  However we have one.  Windy's Last Chance bottom side ends in an Allen Horse every time.  Crossed on some of the best "new" lines they don't come much better than this as far as breeding goes and it gets even better when you watch him move.  He's one awesome mover--loose, effortless and gaits up a storm.  Yeah we could use words like "shake and walky" which would apply but they just don't seem to describe how smoothly this guy moves. His dam, Wind Joy, is a classic old time TW.  We have sold all of Windy's past foals and chose to breed her one last time to produce a horse for our own personal use.  I recently lost my "coach" so raising and training a horse for show now borders on the impossible. As a result I'm putting Chance up for sale.  This is a rare colt whose bottom side is actually better than his top. Alen's Silverado is no slouch in the peds department but Wind Joy has him beat hands down for old-time walking horse blood.  Because of the rarity of the bloodlines on this colt and a desire to see them preserved it would be nice if Chance went to a buyer who will keep him a stallion.  $1000 registered as a Spotted Saddle Horse.  Chance can be registered TW with a hefty sum of cash and I'll be glad to do my part to ensure the buyer's success in registering him TW. Look up Wind Joy on the IPEDS data base and even you will be impressed at this foal's breeding.
